Bean Hollow
After Ano Nuevo we stopped at Bean Hollow Beach. A perfect quiet beach cove. On such a perfect day we had to stop and put our toes in the water. Poor Jason got more than his toes in. I know I say this over, and over, and over, but I really wish our family and friends were here. My grandpa Standage served his mission in the bay area. It is alway fun to talk about the different spots, he misses, loves, and knows all so well. Few places are as beautiful.
Ano Nuevo 2009
Have you ever seen an elephant seal? It is incredible to see these seals so close, sometimes a little to close. We had to navigate our way through 3 young bulls, with a tour guide of course. But really this is a spectacular experience. The boys love it and Evan recites all the information our guide talked about. How deep they dive, what they eat, what the male sound like, etc. This year we watched two bulls fighting, and were quite close to a mother and baby nursing. We couldn't ask for better weather, 70 degrees and sunny in January. That is not a normal occurance. What a spectacular day!
Merry Christmas 2008
Merry Christmas from Logan Utah. Utah did not disappoint, tons of snow for everyone one. I have never seen a cornflake size snowflake before but holy cow it was beautiful. Beaver Canyon is a amazingly gorgeous. Thank you to all our family for putting up with us for a full ten days.
